A Legacy of Landmark Litigation
For over 40 years, our history has been forged in the courtroom. This legacy began with founder Mona Lisa Wallace, who established a tradition of tenacious advocacy. From our Salisbury roots, our legal team has grown under expert leadership, building a record of landmark victories for our clients. This timeline chronicles those defining cases.
1980s to Present
Founding Partner Mona Lisa Wallace led early asbestos and personal injury litigation, building the cornerstone of our reputation. Joined by Bill Graham in the 1990s, our asbestos practice is one of the finest in the state.
2000s to Present
For more than two decades, we have represented consumers and workers in complex litigation against powerful corporate interests, securing millions in relief in cases involving predatory lending, defective devices, and the protection of employee and retiree benefits.
2010s to Present
Advocated for North Carolina communities harmed by industrial hog farming, advancing environmental justice claims that drew national attention and were later documented in the legal nonfiction book, Wastelands.
2022–Present
Building on decades of environmental justice work, Wallace & Graham represents those harmed by toxic exposure, including Camp Lejeune water contamination, while continuing to pursue accountability in matters affecting public health and community well-being.
