About Whitney Wallace

Whitney Wallace was born and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina. After graduating from Salem Academy, she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law. During law school, she clerked for the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Following graduation, Whitney returned to Salisbury to practice law alongside her mother, Mona Lisa Wallace, and colleagues at Wallace & Graham, where she has devoted her career to making a difference in the lives of others through the legal system.

Since 2008, Whitney has focused her practice on complex civil litigation and workers’ compensation law. She has represented thousands of clients, trying numerous cases before the North Carolina Industrial Commission and securing victories in both the North Carolina Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Her work in complex litigation earned her and her colleagues the national Trial Lawyer of the Year award from national nonprofit legal organization, Public Justice. Whitney frequently lectures on legal topics.

Since 2022, Whitney has been heavily involved in the Camp Lejeune water contamination litigation, a mass action involving more than 408,000 veterans and civilians exposed to contaminated water at the military base. She is also litigating child sexual abuse cases in North Carolina against residential treatment facilities, seeking justice for vulnerable children placed in their care.

Whitney’s commitment to justice was inspired early on by watching her mother advocate for clients in times of need. Equally influential was her father, Lee Wallace, a third-generation real estate developer and owner of Wallace Realty, who instilled in her a passion for life, laughter, and work-life balance.

An active member of the legal community, Whitney belongs to the North Carolina State Bar, Rowan County Bar, Rowan County Bar Association (Past President), American Association for Justice (AAJ), North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ), and the Public Justice Foundation (PJ).

Beyond her legal practice, Whitney is deeply engaged in community service. Since 2011, she has served on numerous boards, committees, and commissions, focusing on projects that enhance education, health care, the arts, and local quality of life. In recognition of her leadership, she was honored by the Salisbury Post in its Spirit of Rowan feature and received the North Carolina Main Street Champion award for her advocacy on behalf of Downtown Salisbury.

In 2020, Whitney founded Wallace & Graham Gives, the firm’s charitable program, which donates $50,000 annually to local causes. The initiative supports efforts addressing veterans’ mental health, education, senior living, poverty, literacy, sustainability, cancer prevention, and health care access.

Whitney is the proud mother of two daughters, Annie and Ella Williams, who attend Salisbury Academy. In her free time, she enjoys family and friends, entertaining, traveling, exercising, and spending time in nature.
